Rigid Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) Testing
To obtain registration with Transport Canada, new IBC designs must demonstrate compliance with the design and test requirements specified by CAN/CGSB 43.146. WESTEST regularly helps IBC manufacturers meet these test requirements by providing accurate and professional bulk container testing services for rigid IBCs such as steel or aluminum tanks and rigid plastic or composite totes. Shown in the photo is an earlier model of a Westeel Road-Vault tank mounted to WESTEST's Hydraulic Vertical Vibration Table.
- CAN/CGSB 43.146: Part I of this standard specifies the design and manufacture of UN standardized IBCs, which includes performance test requirements that must be successfully performed on an IBC of every design type. The standard provides details on test preparation, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
